Review: Roar by Aria Cage

18 de marzo de 2014

Charlie
I’m shadowed by sins; mine and the ones passed on to me. The only light comes in the way of him. He wants to fix me, but he can’t fix something so lost and broken. I'm completely undeserving and secretly unwilling. But how do I turn away the one person my body and soul soars for, the one thing that makes me forget the fear, the loss and the guilt? How do I stop the primal need which we are addicted to?

Nate
She is a stranger amongst the world, a captive behind her smiles and lies which shelters the truth. But I know her, we are caged together with the demons and guilt, yet my love is stronger against all our loss and I want to help her heal, to set her free. Under her cloak still lies my scared kitten, feral to her soul because of what he took from both of us. If it’s the last thing I do, I will help her roar like the tiger I know her to be, even if it means setting her free from me.

Caged by their demons and primal need, will their love be strong enough to set them free?

I received an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review.

I'LL GIVE THIS BOOKS FIVE HEARTBREAKING STARS

WOW! What did I just read? I mean, I have just finished the book and I'm drowned in feels right now.
First of all: Aria, I love you. You're so sweet and so close to fans that OMG, I simply love you.
Yeah, now the book.
Nate, babe, you're one of the sweetest, loveliest, fuckablest men I've ever met - yeah, I know I have just invented some words. Not my fault, mi feels control me at this moment.
Again, back to the book
There is NOTHING I did not enjoy about this book. That feeling you get when you start a new book who tells you you're gonna love it - well, I had it at the second page.
You know, there are a lot of clichés in most of the books we read. I'm not saying that this one hasn't, because that's something near impossible; but those cliches are shown as real here. You really believe them, not like the author didn't know how to write and went by the easy road. This books makes you feel EVERYTHING: how they get angry, how they fall in love with each other.
Charlie and Nate are both so destroyed that it makes sense for them to be together; because they are both so strong even if they don't know, they are both so selfless that al they want is to fix - to HELP each other. They had known each other since they were kids, and they know each other - like, really know, every imperfection, craze, hobby and yeah, finally lunar. They are both so different but so similar that all I could think was that I wanted to hug them and tell them everything's gonna be okay. I mean, they had been separated a loooong time and that only made their love stronger. That's a prove: they're meant to be together (or with me, but Nate loves Charlie too much.

The book keeps on and all the secrets are revealed and all I wanted was to finish this book and punish Aria for breaking my heart. The hard life of a reading addict
You have spoors of what happenned but you throw them off your mind because you don't want to know that something like that happened tosuch a beautiful people.
The book is lovely, the main characters are beautful, Nona and Davey are just so hilarious and loving and they turn the book into something you can't put down. The minor characters are who move the book, and this' are great.
It doesn't get five stars - it gets 5 heart breaking tears of mine.

My name is Aria and I have three confessions:
#1 No matter how much I try, I can't stop shopping at Typo or the local tattooist. I believe that would be how I would introduce myself at an anonymous club, right?
#2 I write under another name but I'm not going to tell you ... don't beg, she will kill me if I tell. Ha! So I guess you could call me a genre whore.
#3 My phone is my life line. I can't leave the house without it.
