Drake, Duke of Manchester is searching the Marriage Mart for a perfect bride. He wants a woman who is poised, sophisticated, and worthy of the title Duchess. But most of all, he wants a woman who does not want the useless emotion of love.

Socially awkward Miss Penelope Clayton isn't meant for marriage. A serious botanist, she has no desire to wed, so being forced by her guardian to participate in the Season to find a husband is torture. She'll never fit in with the ton, especially if they discover she's been pretending to be a man within the scientific community.

As Drake's family makes over Penelope, turning her from naive bluestocking to enchanting debutante, he is put upon to introduce her to society and eligible bachelors. Despite dance lessons and new gowns, Penelope is the opposite of poised and sophisticated as she stumbles from one mishap to the next. Why then, does he find it so hard to resist her?

This is the best historical romance i've read this year i really really loved it, everything about it. this is definitely a must read book.
everything is so well done that you inmediately get caught in the story.
First of all, the storyline.
There is a Duke... Drake, Duke of Manchester, for some issues of life he has to be the Duke -Not that he wanted to be- but he needs a Duchess, one that doenst love him at all, he needs the perfect duchess and he also makes a list about her. so he's determinate to find her this season. To be honest some times i just wanna be a character and run after Drake i just love him everything about him draw you in.
and there is a heroine.. which is so funny and amazing i really love her. She's a botanist, she used to live in America but after her father a world famous botanist die she move on to England. and follow her father step. but her Aunt want her to be in the season to find a husband -One she don't need or want at all- she's NOT the tipical beauty girl who everybody fell in love with.. and thats what i really love about this story, she's clumsy, wear spectacles, in that time she wasnt considered the epitome of beauty and this detail make the whole storyline so original and perfect.
So as i said this is a well done masterpiece, every detail, every character has its own life, i really enjoyed reading it.
Thanks to Entangled for give me the opportunity to read such a beautiful and amazing book. and to the author who i will keep an eye because i really love this book and i know everyone will love it too. so this is a highly recommend book

Callie Hutton always knew those stories she made up in her head would be written down one day. There was nowhere else for them to go. After years of writing articles and interviews for magazines and company newsletters, she decided to tackle writing a book. That was back in 2010. Now with twelve books under her belt, and seven more contracted, the relief at having somewhere to tell those stories is wonderful. She lives in Oklahoma with her husband, adult children and three dogs.
