I have read a lot of dystopian books this past months and i have to say im losing interesting about them because all have the same plot... i dont know if is because theres not a lot of topics to create a new world for humanity but they all are the same thing.
Being said that, The Polaris Uprising i have some issues with this book but also it has a lot of good things:
The Good: The relationship between Ryla & Alanna Jensen is wonderful, is well written and makes me wants a sister.
All the characters Jennifer made for the book are well done, they all has a life inside and you actually can feel them and connect with them.
The world that Jennifer create as dystopian well is ok for me, is not the same as other dystopian but still need a lot of things to make it perfect, overall i like the world she create it feel realistic.
The negative: the beginning it felt a little slowly, it took me almost the half of the book to get into the story, but once Ryla met Tyson the things start to be interesting.
the dual plot was a little confusing and give me a little headache.
Im not that fan of dystopian books but this book is ok and i think now i read this i have to read book 2 i know will be better than this one!
So if you are looking for a good dystopian book this definitely will be for you so give it a try!
