Destructive Choices by L.U. Ann
Synopsis:
If the decisions you make don’t define you, what price would you pay to change them?
“Close your eyes. This is the darkness I see, I feel, I live because of my choices.
I spent my life running. Running from my past. A past that changed my life, robbed me of my childhood, and bound me for a life of silence. Silence protected me from further hurt. When I couldn’t control my life, I found reprieve in my silence. Dark, cold silence. I’m trapped, trying to find my way out, trying to make a stand, trying to finally live; but is it too late?”
Lacey Edwards fought emotional turmoil most of her life. She made choices that unknowingly put her through more painstaking heartache. She found bits and pieces of happiness in all the wrong areas except for one. This one gave her hope for a fresh new life full of promises. Could she hold onto it, or would it slip through her fingertips?

First of all in order to understand this book you MUST read the first book on the series, because this book start just in time where the book one ends, have said that lets begininng with my review of this amazingly realistic book.
I cried, laughed and loved the first book and then i realized it was based on REAL facts that was (with a little fantasy added) L.u. Ann life and just the acknowledgement of that make this book even amazing, i feel connected in some way with book one because i passed thru that... i lived in firsthand the domestic violence, i saw my dad hit my mom and then when my mom left us, I was the one who my dad was hitting i'm very much alike to Lacey i felt silence was my only friend , my safe place to be in, so when i read this book i cried like i never did because i knew in that very moment im not alone then she met a boy her true love in life? how wrong she was! Caine is an asshole!:(
Book two it’s even BETTER than the first one we have Lacey who passed a few weeks in the hospital and a bastard asshole Caine lying to everyone ok i feel like im spoilerish the book and well this is the only spoiler i gonna give you, anyway, i have to say this i ADMIRE LU Ann because this book isn't just a book this book can help people because many people like me who have passed thru this need help and i know at least one out three person has a dysfunctional family, this story is REAL this could easily happen to anyone... and that’s why i love this book, we can see Lacey trying to find her own road, raise her child and well become an adult is not an easy task when you're still young.
Devon it’s just a sweetheart I LOVE HIM, he's one of my book boyfriends now!! and Evan my little sweet pea!<3

this book WORTH the timeee, it’s a MUST READ!vv* so you HAVE TO READ IT!:)

Meet the Author:
Author L.U. Ann moved to Colorado from the Eastern Shore of Maryland with her husband and two children. Life in Colorado is so much different. In Maryland, you would find her in the garden tending to her vegetables and flowers, sea glass and shark tooth hunting once a week, and enjoying the kids swimming in the backyard. Her life took a drastic change when her family moved to their own “Little House on the Prairie” at an elevation of over 6,000 feet above sea level, and a semi-arid climate that makes it hard to grow anything. While barely anything can grow where she resides now, the wildlife makes up for it. Mountain Lions, and coyotes, and rattlesnakes, oh my!
She tries to spend a little time each day writing, but domestic chores around the house usually take precedence. She would much rather hide them from her husband. She tends to her loving four-legged children who at times become much too demanding when she locks herself in the office. This often results in MORE domestic work, and she finds herself cleaning up after their deviant behavior.
At night, you’ll find her begging the kids to go to bed so that she can catch up on the latest book before her sister can. Yes, she is an avid reader who escapes her chaotic but wonderful home to the feisty depths of romance land in search of her newest book boyfriend. Shh, don’t tell her husband.
She is an artist by the grace of God. She worked as a set designer for six years, helping establish a local children’s theatre where she was the scenery artist, set, and prop designer. Before that, you would find her covered in paint, so engrossed in painting a mural that time didn’t exist. Graphic design is her guilty pleasure.
Destructive Choices is the second book in The Destructive Series. Each book will hit its reader with lots of angst hoping for a happily ever after.

Excerpt:
I pull up to the ER probably breaking a number of traffic laws. I can’t get inside quick enough. I throw my car in park and run inside. My dad spots me and takes me back.Driving to the hospital through teary eyes is difficult. My silent mantra please be okay, please be okay, please be okay has returned. It is the only noise I can tolerate. I don’t worry about speeding. If I happen to get pulled over for speeding, I will beg the officer to take me the rest of the way with his lights and siren if it means I can get to the hospital quicker.
Walking through the sterile doors do nothing to ease my anxiety. I see nurses and doctors running around to various patients with ease in this toxic environment. I have to keep telling myself to put one foot in front of the other. How can these people work around such tragic events every day? How can people stand to see death on a daily basis? I hear machines everywhere. I don’t know how many patients are here being treated for an emergency tonight. One is too many.
